Our Feature of the Month is a monthly spotlight of one of Scout the Scout’s favorite places. Each month Scout the South emails that months feature which may vary from a backpacking trail to a canoeing trip or even a fun, educational day trip activity. This month’s feature is Pensacola Naval Air Station/Museum

Museums, tours, lodging, reduced meals, movies, sports, bowling, and beach are all at this location. 4 campsites along Bayou Grande or you can get permission to stay in barracks with water, restrooms, showers. Highlight of the trip is the Museum of Naval Aviation with a Blue Angels IMAX film along with other non-avaition films.

Although we have never seen it in print, rumor has it that during the off-season (roughly October through February) the Blue Angels practice on Wednesdays and do a meet and greet with fans which includes signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.
